MRI And MR Angiography

(High Field MRI System)

Magnetic Resonance Imaging is an advanced "State-of-the-art" method which produces very clear images of the human body without the use of x-rays.

MRI is composed of a powerful magnet, radio waves, antenna and a sophisticated computer. Almost every part of the body can be studied with MRI. However, the head and neck, spine and joints are most commonly studied using this modality.

MR Angiography (MRA) is an excellent way to evaluate arteries and veins of the body in a non-evasive fashion.

Our MRI is ACC by ACR (American College of Radiology).

OPEN MRI

A NEW addition to Toms River X-Ray, CT and MRI Center is our Airis II OPEN MRI.

This system is the most advanced OPEN MRI available in the market. The benefits of our OPEN MRI are the same of our high field closed MRI, and all parts of the body can be studied with this system.

The OPEN MRI is particularly valuable for:

1. Patients who suffer from claustrophobia
2. Overweight patients (up to 500lbs.)
3. Pediatric patients
