CT Scan (CAT Scan)

Also commonly called a CAT scan, this is a method which can produce detailed images of soft tissue, bones and blood vessels by producing cross-sectional pictures of the area being examined.

This is a preferred method for diagnosis for many different types of infection and cancers. It can confirm the presence of a tumor, as well as its size, precise location and the extent of involvement of nearby tissues.
